Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!

When we drink enough water, our energy levels increase, our muscles and joints get lubricated, our food cravings are decreased, we become more focused and the appearance of our skin improves.

A loss of just half of a litre can already have negative effects on your well-being: cortisol, also known as the stress hormone, increases, leading to your feeling moody and sluggish.

4 rules to help

Rule #1: Men should drink at least 3.7 litres of fluid per day, women about 2.7 litres

There are many factors that influence our ideal water intake, however, a commonly accepted guideline, proposed by The U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine is 3.7 litres for men and 2.7 litres for women. This recommendation goes for people with an average daily activity – if you are physically active or exposed to warm climates, you need to drink a lot more water than this.

Rule #2: Avoid high-calorie drinks

An easy to implement change if you haven’t done it yet is to replace sugary drinks, soft drinks, juices and energy drinks with nothing but water. It goes without saying that alcohol is a no-no too. Consuming pure water is the best way to keep your body hydrated.

Rule #3: Drink two glasses of water as soon as you wake up

We know you probably think of a warm beverage such as coffee or tea when you wake up, however, it is a lot healthier to drink about 0,5 litres of water before that. This will ensure maximum hydration after your sleep, boost your metabolism and prepare your body for the day. Better yet, drink Turbo Fix in the morning – it tastes better than water, is sugar-free and has many other weight loss benefits! More on this below.

Rule #4: Hydrate before, during and after your workout

Staying hydrated when exercising is key. It doesn’t suffice to have a bottle next to you and take a sip when you feel thirsty. Drink at least 0.5 litres before the workout, about 100-200ml every 15 minutes while you’re exercising and then at least another 0.5 litres when you’re done.

Bonus PowGen tip

Let’s be honest. Do you drink 3.7 litres of fluids per day? Probably not. Do you know what an interesting side-effect of not drinking enough water is? Your body starts retaining it! It occurs in the circulatory system or within tissues and cavities and causes swelling and bloating.

TurboFix can drain as much as 27% of excess water from your tissues while maintaining your mineral balance, which means it will help you keep hydrated. It also helps eliminate toxins from the body and supports your main fat-burning organ – the liver.
